General Assemblies

The General Assembly, held once a year, gathers all the EDP members in one of the countries the publishers are based. The first meeting took place in Salzburg (Austria) where publishers met to lay the foundations for the Association. The date: 28th October 2006.

Barcelona hosted the second EDP General Assembly the 29th and 30th March 2007. There, the founding members started evaluating the necessary institutional topics for its legal settings. The EDP Statute was signed in the Catalan city, where the Association was based till summer 2012 and its trademark is officially registered.

The third General Assembly was held in Milan (Italy) the 6th and 8th of March 2008.

Istanbul (Turkey) welcomed the 2009 General Assembly (19th to 21st February).

The 2010 General Assembly was held in London end of March.

In 2011 the EDP members met in Dornbirn (Austria) in April.

The up till now last EDP General Assembly was held in 2012 in Düsseldorf where a new Board was elected. The members also decided to move the Association´s headquarter to Austria. 

On the 28th October, 2006 a few leading magazines of the European digital graphic press met in Salzburg (Austria) with the firm intention to lay the foundations for an association the aim of which was and still is to serve as a forum for its members and the digital printing industry. The assembly gathered Manfred Diehl (DESKTOP DIALOG, Germany), Chris Cooke (IMAGE REPORTS, England/Ireland), Lorenzo Villa (ITALIA PUBLISHER, Italia), Gerhard Bartsch (PLAKATIV, Hungary), Agustín Torres (PRO-DIGIT@L, Spain/Portugal), Martin Spaar (PUBLISHER, Switzerland) and Rudolf Messer (X-MEDIA, Austria).
The founding members held the second Assembly in March 2007 in Barcelona , where the EDP Statutes were subscribed and signed. The Assembly accepted the magazines DIJITAL TEKNIK (Turkey) and SIGNPRO BENELUX (Benelux) as new members of the EDP.
In March 2008 the EDP welcomed the magazines CMYK (Greece), PUBLISH (Russia), AGI (Denmark) and FRANCE GRAPHIQUE (France) as new members of the Association.
PRINT & PUBLISHING POLAND (Poland) joined the EDP in February 2009.
Due to internal reasons, in October 2009 AGI Denmark decides to temporarily discontinue membership.
In December 2009 AGI Finland was welcomed as new member of EDP.
In 2010 the membership countries number 15 and between them represent a readership of more than 1 million.
