EDP, a quality and innovation mark for the industry

The EDP association was founded in October 2006. The publishers of six trade magazines, Desktop Dialog from Germany, Image Reports from England and Ireland, Italian Publisher from Italy, Plakativ / Print & Publishing from Hungary, ProDigital from Spain and Portugal, Publisher from Switzerland and X-media from Austria met to form a Association of magazines with a main editorial focus on digital production. EDP, the European Digital Press Association, was born.

Our goal is none other than to be a forum for the industry and the members of our association.

Consequently, the publishers of each of the magazines wish to acknowledge the value of the research and development tasks of the industry, granting an award to the best products of the year and to inform all the European professionals about such a distinction – the EDP Award.

Another task is to enhance cooperation between all member magazines, be it editorial or commercial. EDP Association is comitted to print but without neclecting the possibilies of the world wide web to communicate and exchange ideas and kow how. Thus unlimited use and free access to the internet is imperative.

During the years the European magazines embodying the EDP as well as our web activities have spread the purpose of the EDP Association. Now, seven years later, the leading magazines in almost all countries of Europe with more than one million professionals as readers are member to EDP.

The logo that identifies EDP members and winning products of the EDP Awards will be thus a quality and innovation mark for the industry and implies being number one.
